"Vivi lo Sport": education and health

“Vivi lo Sport” (live the sport), a sporting event addressed to primary school children, took place in Verona again this year. The event reached its 16th edition and took place in Agsm Forum from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th of June. Organised by Third District of Verona, this experience was sponsored by several partners like Agsm, Amia and Acque Veronesi.

The students who took part during the event amount to 1,651, much more than the past editions. The young participants had the opportunity to play many different sports activities, such as rafting, fishing, baseball, archery, horse riding, tambourine, martial arts, artistic gymnastics, and many others.

But not only sports, also education and health. Indeed, educational workshops were promoted during these five days. Amia spoke about environmental sustainability and the respect of the natural ecosystem, underlining how the environment is fragile and how a proper waste management is fundamental. Ulss 9 explained the importance of a healthy diet. Istituto Montanari presented a circuit of “eco-friendly games”. Finally, Acque Veronesi gifted people with recycled and recyclable aluminium bottles, in order to foster its battle against disposable plastic in favour of sustainable materials.

As Claudio Volpato, acting pro tempore President of the District, said: Vivi lo Sport was once again an extraordinary event that gathered young people so as to encourage them to play sports. The aim of this experience was not only to encourage physical health, but also to learn how respecting the rules and the others is extremely important”.
