Verona also participates in the "Erasmus for young entrepreneurs" project

The "Erasmus for young entrepreneurs" project is growing, supported by Unioncamere Veneto and Eurosportello del Veneto and co-funded by the European Union. The aim is to propose exchanges between young entrepreneurs of the European community to allow them to grow and acquire skills that are fundamental to their activities. A mechanism very similar to Erasmus conceived for university students.

Specifically, the program allows young entrepreneurs, or those who aspires to be, to register and request a period of coaching (from one to six months) to an experienced foreign entrepreneur working in the same area. In doing so, those who have just opened an activity or intend to do it soon will be able to learn how to manage the new company. The experience that can transmit those who work for a long time in the sector can help improve work processes, teaching the tricks of the trade to manage the economic side, often difficult for those who approach entrepreneurship. The project also makes it possible to host foreign people who wants to gain experience alongside Italian workers, thus creating a regular exchange that increases the value of European companies.

"Erasmus for young entrepreneurs", recently presented in Confcommercio Veneto, was founded in 2009 and in almost ten years has organized more than 1500 exchanges, involving over three thousand people. Italy and Spain are the most involved countries (almost 50%), followed by Great Britain, Germany and France.

There is also a young entrepreneur from Verona in the project Giulia Lovato, owner of the farm La Vecchia Fattoria, in San Pietro di Morubio. The young businesswoman hosted a 24 year old Spanish with a passion for animals. The collaboration has allowed the mutual improvement of the knowledge necessary to grow an agricultural, social and educational enterprise, confirming the validity of the project.
