Charming Verona is a city of beauty, art and great cultura. Thank to its wonderful squares, the ancient buildings, and numerous churches, Verona has become one of the most visited cities by tourists from around the world.

 

Walking through this beautiful city you can admire the buildings of Roman, Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque architecture. Famous artists such as Michele Sanmicheli, Paolo Veronese and Alessandro Marchesini were born here.

 

1. Arena of Verona 

The symbol of the city is Arena of Verona - the Roman amphitheater with the best degree of preservation. Since 1913 here takes part the Opera Festival of Arena of Verona which brings together opera lovers from around the world. 

 

2. Piazza Erbe 

One of the most beautiful squares in Italy is Piazza Erbe surrounded by fine buildings such as La Casa dei Mercanti with its galleries, fascinating Casa Mazzanti with frescoedfront and Baroque Palazzo Maffei.

Over the Piazza Erbe raise the tallest tower in Verona - Torre dei Lamberti. It was built by a wealthy family from Verona in the twelfth century. Nowadays Torre dei Lamberti is open to visitors and from its top you can admire a beautiful view of the historic center.

 

4. Piazza dei Signori 

In the courtyard of the Torre dei Lamberti is the charming and quiet Piazza dei Signori with its fine palaces that shows the wealth and splendor of the Verona’s past. At its center there is the statue of the famous italian poet Dante Alighieri that is why this square is well-know as Piazza Dante.

Walking throught the narrow streets of the historic center is the best way to discover enchanting beauties of the city.
