To Be Verona “Tasting the Italian lifestyle”

Today at the press conference at the Townhall of Verona was officially presented the new project “To Be Verona”.
To Be Verona is a local marketing project based on innovation and the promotion of “know-how” and historical and cultural heritage, in order to give high visibility to the city of Verona and its businesses all around the world, thus supporting the Italian model of the “smart land”.
To Be Verona intends to structure a well-defined road map towards the future by fostering innovation and shared transformation and by producing a new harmonious and balanced phase. During this phase Verona will not only appear to the world as a window, but it will also become a smart land, where the quality of life will be coherent with the environment through a creative and sustainable growth. To Be Verona aims to organize the city and the area of Verona as a smart network. By doing so, a strong and homogenous image of the town will be provided, as well as a high quality of life, not just for those who live there, but also for those who work there and visit it. Therefore, Verona will become food for body, thought, and heart.
To Be Verona initiative is supported by a joint project with the University of Verona and by the Municipality of Verona, the Province of Verona, and the Italian Federation of Businesses and Professionals Confcommercio. Moreover, it is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and private companies, such as AGSM Verona, Cattolica, and Banca Popolare di Verona. Participating partners are Air Dolomiti and Tocatì, whereas Assimp, Studio Poletto, Terzomillennium Communication Lab, and the University of Verona are in charge of the activity.
The project will result in an international conference, to be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Palazzo della Gran Guardia, in Piazza Bra, Verona. The main objective is to deeply understand how Verona is perceived in the rest of the world and to monitor the areaʼs branding, thus creating new business opportunities and innovation.
