Ten are the countries that participated at the first EVOO Days appointment (Italy, Spain, Croatia, Slovenia, Turkey, Portugal, Germany, France, Chile and for the first time Japan). This is an initiative promoted by VeronaFiere and Sol&Agrifood to support the olive oil sector. According to “Sol d'Oro” (The Golden Sun), the most important international olive oil competition in the world, the best extra virgin olive oils are Italian, with 4 gold medals out of 5. It will be possible to taste these oils at Sol&Agrifood from April 9th to 12th 2017.
Extra virgin olive oil, pasta and bakery products, handmade beer and cheese, chocolate, preserves, seasonings and cured meats are some of the exquisite products presented at Sol&Agrifood within its 8,000 square meters of exhibition space. The pizza area is the latest news, pizza in fact, as a symbol of the Made in Italy quality in the world, has been given a special exhibition and laboratory space, where chefs, pizza makers and industry experts will offer special dough and innovative condiments.
Premises are very encouraging, 2016 Edition recorded a total of 291 exhibitors and 56,000 professionals who visited the fair among which 14,000 were from 82 foreign countries. Foreign buyers are incresing this year, they come from USA, Denmark, Germany, Japan, Austria, Singapore, UK and France. In order to promote trade relations between Italy and foreign countries B2B meetings, devoted to foreign exhibitors and buyers, will be organized, alongside mini-courses to promote and spread the quality of Italian products.
