Progetto Quid: ethical fashion in Verona

A work opportunity for people who has a difficult past and a way to recycle textiles and materials: those are the assumptions of Progetto Quid, was born in Verona in 2013 from the ideas of five friends with the passion of fashion and with a big heart.

Progetto Quid is the first fashion brand of ethical and sustainable fashion from Veneto Region, working with scrap fabrics by Italian companies and giving them a new life thanks to the creative cooperation of emergent designers and to labor of people with a difficult past.

“Our project is named ‘Quid’ because we wanted to give him something more who would connect creativity, social commitment, enviroment respect and presence on the market” tells us Anna Fiscale, President of Progetto Quid.

 

Progetto Quid Verona

 

The first company to believe in the value of the project and to decide to support it was Calzedonia from Verona, who donates high-quality scrap fabrics and makes available some shops in several italain cities as selling point for Quid collection.

Nowadays  the brand sells its products in five shops – in Verona, Mestre, Bologna, Bassano del Grappa and Vallese – and its collection is available in 30 partner’s selling points, located in Italy and in Zurich.

Currently Progetto Quid counts 70 employees, from 23 to 60 years aged, from 7 different nations, of which 25 coming from critic situations.

In 2014 besides, Progetto Quid won the prestigious award dedicated to social innovations promoted by European Commettee, triumphing among over 1.250 participants.

The garments and accessories realized are unique pieces according with the latest trends, their added value is certainly the beauty and creativity given by those who, thanks to this work, has found a new motivation to get out of a difficult moment and be reborn thanks to the dignity of work and the beauty of fashion.
