New incentives for tour buses in Verona's ZTL

The City Council has decided to modify the rules regarding the access to Verona’s ZTL (Limited Traffic Zones) for tour buses. Indeed, it has reduced the admission fees for all the buses that bring clients to hotels and spectators to the events of Fondazione Arena.

The permit is of 30 € for the tour buses headed to shows in Teatro Filarmonico and Arena. Usually it costs 150 € during the high season, thus the price is significantly diminished. These incentives will also encourage who comes to Verona for having dinner in one of the city centre’s restaurants. For this reason, the evening ticket will be 40 € instead of 150 € (valid between 8 pm and 2 am during the high season). Finally, a 65 € rate is expected for the means of transportation carring the guests of the hotels situated in all the provinces of Verona.

As Luca Zanotto, the Councillor for Traffic and Transportation and Vice Mayor of Verona, sais: “These rates enable tour operators to have more options for their clients, with some incentives for who wants to stay in Verona for several days, but also for who comes from the provinces of the city. Reaching Verona by bus may costs less than coming by car, and there is no parking problem. The special evening ticket allows more and more visitors to have dinner in Verona and to visit its beautiful attractions even after the sunset”.

Therefore, the new incentives are designed for meeting the demands of trade associations, especially of Confcommercio and Confindustria. This rate adjustment will promote tourism and encourage all the business accommodations of Verona.
