Innovation, Research and Training: a new opportunity by “Verona Innovazione”

There are many training activities, conferences and individual coaching interventions promoted in Verona by different public institutions or private associations to support young people in building their own professional future, enhancing personal resources, ideas and skills.
The training give their results, offering real working opportunities. Infact, according to statistical surveys made by Istat, Verona confirms itself as a dynamic city that creates jobs, about 400,000 in 2016, with only 5.3% of unemployed, one of the lowest unemployment rates in Italy, after Bolzano, first place, and Reggio Emilia, second place. In the Veneto Region, Verona has the leadership, but overall the whole Region remains stable with 87,000 total occupations.

A new opportunity to build a future is offered by "Verona Innovazione" (Verona Innovation), an affiliate of the Verona Chamber of Commerce, which has a training course of 80 hours, dedicated to young people - aged 18 to 29 - which do not work and do not study. The goal is to select young people with an entrepreneurial attitude for supporting them in starting their own start up.To participate, the candidates must sign up for “Garanzia Giovani” (Guarantee for Young) and pass the admission test called “Crescere Imprenditori” (Entrepreneur’s growth). At the end of the course, young people will realize in practice a business plan and will have access to a facilitated credit system - the SELFIEmployment Fund, implemented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies - to set up their start-up.

Promoted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, the initiative is entrusted to Unioncamere and implemented locally by the specialized network of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture to support self-employment and self-entrepreneurship through training activities and accompanying business start-up.
