Verona and its neighborhood are famous not only for its beauty but also for its precious wines that are produced here. The vineyards are located in the surrounding areas of the city: on the sun-kissed hills, along the Garda Lake and on the plateau of Mountains Lessini. Thanks to the Mediterranean climate, the land rich in minerals and the ancient traditions of production, the wine from Verona has become one of the most appreciated and exported worldwide.




One of the most famous for producing wine territory in Italy Valpolicella is situated between Garda Lake and Verona. This region is known from the Roman times for its dessert wines such as Amarone and Recioto which made with Rondinella, Corvina Veronese and Corvinone grapes.

Many wineries offer to their tourists the opportunity to visit them and taste famous wines of Valpolicella with cheese and salami of the area.




In the area of ​the Prealps of Verona is situated the plateau of the Mountains Lessini. This part is known for its sparkling wine Durello which popularity is growing year by year.


Lake Garda


This area is characterized by the high wine production in northern Italy. The vineyards are lie on its hills and its plains that create an unforgettable landscape.

The most famous wines of this area are Bardolino and Custoza.




In the Eastern part of Verona is located one of the historical part of the Verona area, developed around the city of Soave and its castle.

Famous for its wine that inherits the name of the city.  “Soave” was among the first Italian wines recognized as "typical and valuable", now it is one of the most export wines in Italy and throughout the world.
